Two boys have disappeared in the isolated mountains northeast of the remote Alaskan village of Manatuk, a forbidden region where ancient terrors are rumored to exist…and where local guides refuse to enter. Search and rescue specialist Luc Moon is tasked with the impossible finding the boys on his own.

During the search, Luc discovers clues to a remarkable lost world, a world hidden deep within a forgotten valley. Now in a life-and-death struggle, Luc―and those closest to him―must survive against legendary creatures and a ruthless billionaire determined to keep the discovery to himself.

**Acclaim for Lost Valley**

“Pulse-pounding action, brilliant speculation, and the introduction of a lost world filled with horrors and wonders. J.T. Cross is a lot of writer.”

I have waited for more than a year to post a review for this series. If I could put a negative minus sign in front of the stars this would be a -5 star rating. I was recovering from a long illness and knew nothing about indie authors and or publishing. I read the 'jacket' about the book and gave it a try. Then I tried again with the second book and the third. I was really, really trying to give this author and story a good chance. Big mistake. This, was,a case of throwing anything that would catch your eye, such as saber toothed tigers, lost valleys, Alaska and much more into a big pot and then stirring once and seving the whole mess as a trilogy. There is an insubstantial plot with characters that seem interesting but are then never developed, tension insufficiently built that leads nowhere and in the end a tacky quick rollup that I think is supposed to make you think that everyone, Eskimos, animals and minerals get some money or whatever and I, the reader, is supposed to think that was,a swell deal. I want to be fair and I tried really hard to find a good thing to say but the only thing I can say is this made the writer some money so somebody got something out of this. Not the reader though.

Lost Valley The Discovery Part 1 edition by JT Cross Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I knew at the start that this was a serial but I did expect it would have a fully developed stand alone story. As it turns out it is a longer novel chopped up, possibly as a ploy to get more sales revenue. I am disappointed with this tactic. As a serious reader I'm not sure if I will continue with the next segment.
This was good I liked it. I hope the next is better. Kept reading because it captured my attention. So far it is really good.

Well i quite enjoyed the book but it was way too short. I suspect they thought by having a three part book we wouldn't notice it was $9 and they're right - most of us didn't until it was too late.

The one thing that irked me was a scene when Luc walks into a lab and notices the guy is on the phone and he's suspicious. Really? People talk on the phone all the time. "He hung up quickly" well people tend to do that when an actual person walks into the room.
My husband and I are both reading this book and we're both on the third installment. We both find it very exciting and well written. I got it because I wanted an exciting action packed adventure book, I love wilderness stories and really love it when they find hidden worlds and creatures. Its really enjoyable, and a really great read, with characters I really like. I wish they'd make it into a movie!
This is a short story. It tells the beginning of the book to come.A way to drum up sales I think.I wonder if the next installment will repeat this information? If so why charge me three dollars for this.As for the story, it was a nice blend of interesting people.Luc is a divorced dad living in his village in Alaska were he was raised. He has girlfriend that is a bush pilot, two kids, a grandfather. Then you have the villains,a wealthy hack,ex army killer and his sidekick who want to keep everything to themselves. There's Luc's ex-wife and her soon to be next ex-husband.Luc has brought back from a rescue a new source of energy, they think. So the race is on to see who cashes in first. The hack is willing to kill, the ex army guy is hired to do the killing and he shows no remorse in who he has to kill. Then add in the twist and turns of the story line and you have a nice concise beginning to what looks like a very good novel.IF this information is not repeated thru-out the next installment buy this,it will help level out the story line. For me I thought it was way over priced for what it contained. The story was well told,it had interesting characters, nice blend of family life between the cast.If money is no concern give it a go.
I enjoyed reading Lost Valle4y The Discovery (Part 1). The characters were well developed and believable. The story line of a new energy source being discovered in a prehistoric valley with dire wolves, sabertooth tigers and a prehistoric bear actually made sense and the action was taut and riveting. After reading this, I was hooked and I purchased the second part. The only thing I did not like was that this book ended too soon. And that is my main criticism that the original story was split into three parts, obviously, for commercial purposes.
I enjoyed this first part of the "Lost Valley" series a lot. I knew up front when I purchased it that this was a serialized novel and the parts would probably be short. That written, I am glad that I waited until the whole book was online so I don't have to wait to finish the book.

I like Luc Moon, the protagonist of the story. The characters are pretty well developed in the short time that part one allows. l like the descriptive portions of the story that talk about Alaska. I've been to Alaska and I think some of the descriptions are a little "off" but I still am enjoying the read.

The ending was a cliffhanger but I expected that in a serialized novel so that's okay with me - just makes me want to read book two.

Lost Valley The Hunted (A Serial Novel, Part 2) and Lost Valley The Escape (A Serial Novel, Part 3) are the continuation and finalization of this story. I'm getting ready to start part two now.
